Brittany Mahomes is said to be questioning her support of former US president Donald Trump following his tirade towards her pal Taylor Swift.

Brittany, who is married to Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, recently liked a post about Trump, but is said to be "deeply bothered" with his outburst towards the songstress.

Taylor, 34, has become close to Brittany since she began dating Travis Kelce, who is a Chiefs teammate of Patrick. After the Shake It Off star came out in support of Kamala Harris, the former president couldn't bite his tongue. Harris is Trump's competition in the current election run stateside, and Taylor's public endorsement is said to have drove 338,000 visits to the federal voter registration website. It led the businessman to disclose his severe dislike for the pop star, as he fumed online: "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT."

But the comments haven't sat well with Brittany, with an insider claiming they have "shook her to the core". Speaking to Mail Online, an insider said Trump's actions have made her question her views on the ex president. They said: "This deeply bothered Brittany because Taylor is like a sister to her and she has done absolutely nothing wrong. She didn't mention Trump in her post and is allowed to speak her mind."

The source went on: "She [Brittany] does not believe in hate in any form and loves Taylor so much. This doesn't mean she is suddenly voting Kamala. It has just made her more aware of supporting him so publicly."

Taylor had previously laid bare her support of Harris following a live debate: "Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight," Taylor said on Instagram. "If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country."

She added: "Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth." Taylor went on to admit she was voting for Harris and her Vice President pick Tim Walz because she "fights for the rights and causes" close to the entertainer.
