Declan Rice is among a number of players who did not travel to Arsenal's warm-weather training camp. He is following an individual training plan and his absence from the trip is understood not to be a concern football.london understands.
Mikel Arteta has taken plenty of the squad to Spain for sessions in the warmer climate, including new signings Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi, and Kepa Arrizabalaga. The group contains plenty of the youth team too, such as Max Dowman and Andre Harriman-Annous.
The team will return from Spain before then flying off to Asia on July 19, where they will play AC Milan, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur in three friendlies. They return to London at the start of August where they will host two further games against Villarreal and Athletic Club.

It is easy for misinformation to spread during this time when the season is not yet underway.Rumours of Martin Odegaard needing a procedure circulated before being quashed and the captain is also out in Spain with the team training fully.
David Raya has not yet returned after having his summer break extended, but is expected to be on the flight to Asia. Fabio Vieira was also not spotted with the group in Spain, but is expected to be part of pre-season training until his future is resolved, potentially by a permanent transfer.
Other players set for an exit, like Oleksandr Zinchenko, Reiss Nelson and Albert Sambi Lokonga, are all with the team too. Gabriel Jesus is working on his fitness back in north London as he continues his recovery from a major procedure on his knee.
