Leigh-Anne Pinnock stunned in a ‘Disney princess dress’ on a night out in London.
The 31-year-old Little Mix star took to Instagram to show off the sheer silver dress that was covered in sequins as she attended a London Fashion Week party in the capital. Sharing a series of snaps in the dress, which showed a matching silver thong as she embraced the ‘underwear as outerwear’ trend, she told her 10 million followers: ‘I knew this dress was the one when I put it on and my daughters were mesmerised thinking I was a real life Disney princess."
She then tagged clothing brand self-portrait, who made the silver rhinestone fishnet maxi dress - which sells for £950 - and Mercedes Benz, who were throwing the event. But while her bandmate Perrie Edwards called her ‘a dream’ and some fans loved the dress, others blasted the singer for her choice of outfit – with many calling it inappropriate in the comments below.
One wrote: ‘Since when did princesses show up semi naked and when did we allow children to look up to that. Leigh-Anne you’re stunning and talented, but adding that kids think this look is influential,’ followed by a sad face emoji. Another wrote: “Look absolutely stunning and all for body positivity but unsure how being mostly naked is now an acceptable outfit?” A third said: ‘The dress looks stunning on you but as a mum, not loving the see-through top.”
“Seems a bit odd that this resembles a princess to a child when she’s not really wearing anything,” a fourth chimed in, as a fifth asked: “WHY!! Save the nudity see-through stuff for private life.” But fans were also quick to praise Leigh-Anne with one writing: "No way you’re not. I mean, I can understand, obviously you’re a princess you’re an absolutely gorgeous QUEEN!!!" "I don't even have any more compliments for you, you are simply surreal and the most beautiful woman in the world," said a second.
Meanwhile, a third exclaimed: "The dress, the face card, the hair! I love this look." "You are a real-life Disney princess, they were right," said another. Leigh-Anne is a mum-of-two after giving birth to twins in August 2021. But she and partner, pro footballer Andre Gray, have been careful to keep them out of the spotlight. It was only recently that Leigh-Anne let it slip that they are girls in a sweet video earlier this year, but she has never revealed their names.
And it seems her little ones – who have just turned three - have certainly inherited their mum's impressive singing talent. Leigh-Anne captured a beautiful moment of one of her daughters singing on camera.
Sharing the clip to her Instagram Stories, she uploaded a video of herself standing at their bedroom door. She captioned it: "One of the twins morning sing songs [crying face emoji]. It's the riffs she tries to do 'areeee'."
Leigh-Anne and Andre have only shared a few photos of their twins on social media since they were born. And Leigh-Anne said she won't make the tots' names and faces public due to concerns about the impact public attention would have on them. Although the twins sometimes appear on their mum's social media, they are always photographed from the back or with their faces concealed.
But she did share some snaps earlier this month of her girls – who always wear matching outfits - again being careful not to show their faces. She captioned the post: “Summer was just full of quality family time... something I wasn’t getting enough of throughout this year. But mummas feeling refreshed and fired up... is it go time yet?” One fan answered: “They are the cutest, we are so ready for what you have in store next.”
