Jadon Sancho's 'behaviour in training' leaves Enzo Maresca with 'clear view' on attitude

Enzo Maresca has reportedly been left impressed by Jadon Sancho 's commitment - with the Chelsea winger said to have arrived at training earlier than scheduled.

The former Manchester United man made a winning start to his Blues career when assisting Christopher Nkunku's goal in their 1-0 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday (September 14).

Despite it being his first Premier League game in over a year, his influence on the pitch was noticeable but it was even before his game-winning assist that Sancho had impressed his new boss.

According to GiveMeSport, Maresca's been impressed by the 24-year-old's attitude who has reportedly had quite the impact at Cobham despite only joining the club earlier this month on transfer deadline day.

Sources have stated that during his first week at Chelsea, the former England star consistently arrived at training earlier than scheduled, as well as introducing himself to training ground staff.

His efforts to blend within the new culture set by Maresca has certainly paid off with the Italian extremely complimentary of him after his 45-minute cameo on Saturday.

"Very happy, very happy for him. He was very good," the Blues boss said of Sancho. "I have a feeling that Jadon is a guy that needs love. This is what I thought when I spoke with him before he joined us.

"Also I know he has the desire to show the player he is, but for me, it is just to enjoy football. This is the reason why they play. Jadon helped us a lot but what he did tonight is exactly what we expected from him. As I said, I know Jadon very good because I watched him many, many times in the past and I know what he can give us."

Chelsea have a difficult run of fixtures coming up with the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle to play. One game in particular that Sancho will surely be keeping a close eye on is their clash against his former side at Old Trafford on November 3.
