Emmerdale's Amelia's devastating fate 'sealed' ahead of dramatic Tom King exit

Amelia Spencer could be in danger on Emmerdale, as viewers fumed at her for believing abusive Tom King over Belle Dingle.

Viewers know that Tom coercively controlled Belle for months before turning violent in a horrifying domestic abuse storyline. In recent weeks Belle found the courage to end things with Tom, and last week she informed her loved ones of the abuse she endured.

A handful of residents believe Tom over Belle, after he manipulated the situation by making Belle seem mentally unstable. Trying to turn his behaviour onto her, he made it seem that Belle was paranoid and harassing him, suggesting she was making up lies.

His true behaviour was exposed to residents though with Belle believed, resulting in Tom going into hiding. Currently Amelia is the only one who knows where Tom is and she's helping him, keen to "prove his innocence".

Tom has manipulated Amelia just like he did Belle, convincing her he is innocent and Belle is a liar. He's made Amelia think he loves her and wants to be with her after embarking on a romance with her.

Belle warned Amelia he was just using her, which he is, but she won't believe this and has slammed Belle repeatedly. In vile scenes on Monday she name-called Belle and mocked her mental health battles, once again backing Tom.

No one can get through to the teen who has yet to confess she has seen Tom since he vanished. Tom has told Amelia to hide their meet-ups, wanting her to be his eyes and ears in the village - continuing to keep an eye on Belle.

As she was confronted again today by Kerry Wyatt and Amy Wyatt, she barked: "What happened to innocent until proven guilty?" She had a run-in with them and Chas Dingle as she refused to believe Tom was the abuser Belle had exposed him to be.

Viewers fumed at the character for believing Tom and for being so nasty about Belle, just weeks after they started "seeing each other". Amy warned Kerry if they pushed her they'd lose her, realising how serious the situation was.

But it was only a matter of weeks ago that Belle saw three imagined futures depending on what she did next. One of these future scenarios was possibly what we are seeing now, with Amelia ignoring the warnings and getting with Tom.

In this imagined situation though Belle had left Tom but hadn't exposed him. That said she's still fearful he will not be punished, while she has yet to report him to the police.

So if Amelia continues to support Tom, could she end up suffering a similar ordeal to Belle? Could Belle's imagined future involving Amelia sadly end up being real? Tom will soon leave the show, with actor James Chase filming his final scenes.
