Children In Need 2024 is getting closer and its six presenters have now been revealed.
The epic charity fundraiser returns on November 15, and and have bee announced as two of the six presenters this time around. Others featuring will include MBE, Mel Giedroyc, and Lenny Rush as the celebrities take viewers on a star-studded fundraising adventure.
The news was shared on Tuesday's . Speaking of the role, Vernon gushed: "I’m truly honoured to be a presenter for Children in Need this year, supporting such an incredible cause. Last year's knee-ruining run from Leicester to Bolton was brutal—one of the toughest things I’ve ever done—so I’m thrilled to be joining you from the comfort of MediaCity this time! Children in Need is such a special charity, changing lives in the most amazing ways, and I couldn't be prouder to be part of this year's big night."
His words were echoed by Rochelle, who said: "Nothing brings the UK together quite like BBC Children in Need and I’m so delighted to be back in the studio this year. I’m always blown away by the generosity and spirit of the night, and it’s a wonderful cause so close to my heart. I’m sure there will be many laughs, tears, surprises and a whole heap of inspiration in store for us all on the night."
Among the activities on show this year will be sketches, musical acts and performances from some of showbiz's biggest names. There will also be appeal films from some of the children and young people whose lives have been changed thanks to the generous donations from previous Children In Need events. Further detail will be released as the night grows closer.
Speaking of the event, BBC Executive Producer Peter Davey said: "The team is working tirelessly to create something special, and I can promise a fantastic night of family entertainment, fronted by our amazing presenters and filled with treats and surprises for all ages. BBC Children in Need is one of those special shows where everyone can come together to laugh, cry, and hopefully donate what they can to help those in need."
Head of Entertainment at the BBC, Kalpna Patel-Knight, added: "Our Salford Super Six are set to guide everyone through a brilliant night of entertainment that truly unites people all across the UK for an incredibly important cause. It's going to be unmissable!"
Money raised during this year's appeal will help BBC Children in Need to continue working in communities across the four nations. It will help continue to fund family centres, community spaces, youth clubs and refuges; homeless shelters, hospices and helplines. This year, BBC Children in Need is asking the public to make life lighter for children all across the UK.
Children In Need will be live on BBC One and from MediaCityUK, Salford, at 7pm on Friday November 15.
