Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane has assured that the government will extend all possible support to enhance fish production in freshwater bodies. He urged fisheries entrepreneurs to adopt modern technology, study successful models from other states, and focus on innovative methods to boost productivity in ponds and inland water bodies.
A review meeting was held at Mantralaya to discuss the challenges faced by inland fisheries in Dindori and Peth talukas and to explore possible solutions. The meeting was attended by Fisheries Commissioner Kishor Tawde, Deputy Secretary Kishor Jakate, senior department officials, and representatives of fisheries organizations from Dindori and Chandanpuri.

Prior to the meeting, Sameer Potnis from Sharv Enterprises gave a presentation on the use of Indian-made Sharv AIS systems, which are to be installed on boats to help avoid collisions at sea.
